Fashionomics

The fashionomics contest has been held at QMB meetings for several years and has grown to be a highlight of the conference. Fashionomics is a highly scientific process that shows off the artistic side of scientists. The contest involves several steps;

1. Scanning the laboratory to identify everyday laboratory items that could be incorporated into a wearable garment
2. Using these lab items to design and produce a garment that would be at home on the cat walks of Europe
3. To find someone brave enough and presentable enough to model the above said item in the QMB 2008 Fashionomics contest

This year Fashionomics will again feature UV lighting to allow entrants the use of fluorescent reporter dyes!

There are great prizes and its great fun but competition is intense so start planning now. For inspiration see below links to some entries from previous years.
